Why is Al Gore calling for the destruction of all life on our planet?

Environmentalists including Internet founder Al Gore, are always blaming evil human beings for increasing greenhouse gases.....specifically carbon dioxide (and demanding an end to those greenhouse gases).

Fact: CO2 accounts for only .04% of our atmospheric gases.

Fact: CO2 is needed by all plants, trees, rain forests etc., to survive.

Conclusion: Al Gore is trying to kill all living plants on earth when he demands elimination of CO2.......and by extension all human beings. (plants return oxygen back into our atmosphere as by-product)

AL Gore is continuing his alarmist agenda in an effort to keep attention and money flowing into an issue and movement that is
a non-issue. Or at least an issue that mankind is not the cause of, nor the solution to........unless we develop some super natural control system to regulate the sun.

Like smoking ban junk science, many environmentalists are going too far in their misguided agenda, which seems to be to scare the media and the sleeping public into pandemonium for continued research grants and financial donations.

Smoking bans......combustion engine bans......don't be fooled by the snake oil sales pitch. (Today show video link)

In the above Today show link AL pal tells us that upper level particulate matter, from evil mankinds' insatiable desire to pollute the earth, causes sunlight to be trapped here on earth causing global warming. Uh.....question Al, if the upper level atmospheric particulate matter is able to "trap" the sun's heat inside our planet, isn't it more likely that the upper level pollution is also "trapping" the sun's heat and rays from entering our atmosphere to begin with, causing global cooling? Al you may want to work on that fairy tale a little longer....just until it has even the faintest credibility of a maybe.

From
this NASA site documenting the effect that upper level pollution from volcanic eruptions have on our climate comes this statement:

What is the mechanism wherby volcanic eruptions can make the Earth cooler? The volcanic clouds that reach into the stratosphere are composed of particulates and gases, ...... Millions of tons of .......... particles (referred to as aerosols), which reflect energy coming from the Sun back to space. This solar energy is therefore not available to heat the Earth's surface and lower atmosphere.

So remember all you tree hugging, dirt munching Druids; Al's film isn't really a documentary as much as a sequel to "
The Day After Tommorrow" subtitled "When Braindead Politicians Try to Think."

Al did you think about doing any research before spewing your latest drivel?

Otter Tail County says no to county wide ban.....

http://www.fergusfallsjournal.com/articles/2006/05/25/news/news04.txt

Sounds like common sense and free market thinking are alive and well in the rural parts of the state. My guess is that the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, MPAAT, or the other special interest groups are going to have to pump in a lot of extra money into Otter Tail County Minnesota to get their way......and I wouldn't put it past them.

Open up the vaults boys.......anti-tobacco is coming to town with a wheel barrel full of money. Votes for sale anybody?

The World Health Organization confirms it.......

"Passive smoking doesn't cause cancer - official" (link)

Now don't you politicians who were duped by the Nicoderm funded groups like the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Non-Smoker's Rights, and taxpayer funded MPAAT, etc. feel used?

At a press conference following the shooting.......

http://www.kstp.com/article/stories/S16411.html?cat=1

Both "Brokeback" mayors congratulated themselves and recommended that citizens remain indoors at newly mandated non-smoking bars and restaurants where patrons would not only be free from exposure to "deadly" secondhand smoke but also the stray bullets from "those brutes" (hear the lilt in their voices?) outside.

What's that old saying?

....those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.......

Prohibition of alcohol was repealed because it created black markets, organized crime, and violence.

It seems Minnesota is getting a history lesson these days again.....ala the anti-tobacco activists and our own liberal "I once was a Republican (in name only)" Governor Tim Pawlenty.

You may remember DFL wannabe (it seems) Tim Pawlenty orchestrated the $0.75 "fee" on cigarettes. Partly because the Nicoderm activists like Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have been funding new legislative efforts to expand their alternative pharmaceutical nicotine products, and partly because Pawlenty didn't want to call it what it is.....a tax.

So now with a pack of smokes running nearly $5.00, local free market opportunists have decided it's worth the risk of potentially getting caught to get into the business of providing cigarettes to an underground market. I am of course referring to the latest trend of "crash and grab", where local thieves are crashing stolen cars into convenience stores and then making off with thousands of dollars in cigarettes.

I wonder if the thieves are providing Tim "never maintained a conservative principal that I couldn't later disregard" Pawlenty with his $0.75 "fee?"

Prohibition of tobacco doesn't seem be faring any better than what we experienced in the 1920's with the prohibition of alcohol.......something tells me this new "experiment" may also end very soon.

American Lung Association of MN telling lies or splitting hairs you decide

Apparently the communications director of American Lung Association MN knows how damaging it is for the public and lawmakers to know that they receive their lobbying money from the Nicoderm interests at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

In this post Mr. Moffitt states:

....local pro-smoke activists have tried a variety of arguments to defend the indefensible practice of allowing smoking at our indoor workplaces...."They (ALAMN) receive so much money from manufacturers of alternative nicotine delivery products (like Nicoderm), they are compelled to promote their financial interests..."Truth Check, please: The ALAMN does not use any direct funding from any pharmaceutical company to support our effort to promote smokefree air in Minnesota. Not one cent....

However, on Robert Wood Johnson's own website they expose the fact that they have provided $99,000,000.00 to the ALA, ACS, and AHA and RWJF "....encouraged its grantees to be activists; (2) advocacy was emphasized to bring about policy change. The program relied heavily on three major ...organizations: the American Cancer Society; the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association......"

And since RWJF was founded by Johnson & Johnson Co. and owns 80,000,000 shares of the Nicoderm manufacturers stock. I suppose Mr. Moffit is technically correct when he states regarding the $99,000,000.00, ALAMN does not use any direct funding from any pharmaceutical company......since the $99,000,000.00 is funneled through a pharmaceutical foundation first.

However, Truth Check, please. The $99,000,000.00 does come from the profits of a pharmaceutical nicotine company (Nicoderm) whose financial windfall comes after the passage of smoking ban ordinances.

In other words Moffitt is trying his best to do the "communications two-step" but the facts are getting in his way. Just like the health department testing which proved secondhand smoke indoors is 500 - 15 times safer than OSHA workplace regulations.

Have courts already ruled against smoking bans?

http://www.nycclash.com/Kentucky.pdf

From page 23 of the court decision above comes this excerpt:

DISSENTING OPINION BY JUSTICE GRAVES
I would strike down the ordinance as being arbitrary and oppressive and therefore in violation of Section 2 of the Bill of Rights of the Kentucky Constitution'. The ordinance is arbitrary because there are less intrusive means to achieve the intended result of making sure that the health of non-smokers is protected. The ordinance is oppressive because it operates as a regulatory partial taking of private property without just compensation.

Private property does not belong to the public. Employing a large staff, or providing services to many people, is not sufficient to transform private property into public property. The litmus test for private property is ownership, not the size of the customer base or the work force. Customers or employees who object [to smoking] may go elsewhere . They would not be relinquishing any right that they ever possessed . By contrast, when a businessman is forced to effect an unwanted smoking policy on his own property, the government is taking part of his property by regulation.

In addition to the above dissenting opinion by the Kentucky Supreme Court, future court challenges to smoking ban legislation would do well to include this government conducted air quality testing which proves secondhand smoke is 500-15 times safer than OSHA regulations for secondhand smoke require. IE. smoking ban ordinances are unnecessary as OSHA already regulates the workplace indoor air quality.
