If you can't beat 'em.....join 'em. RJR to buy smoking cessation company

Tobacco giant Reynolds American Inc. agreed to buy Sweden's Niconovum AB for about $44 million, gaining a foothold in the market for smoking-cessation products.

WSJ article online here.

CTA finds it difficult to be critical of this business decision, frankly we're surprised it didn't happen sooner. The entire smoking ban movement only exists because smoking cessation pharmaceutical giant J & J funded the lies and exaggerations about secondhand smoke thru their partner Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in order to expand upon their Nicoderm, Nicorette, Nicotrol, Commit product sales.

It's high time the tobacco companies play the game started by the pharmaceutical company interests.....it's no secret who we're rooting for to win. The reason is obvious.
