American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, & American Heart Association's source of funding makes them an unreliable source for factual data
Here the ALA, ACS, AHA secures another $99,000,000.00 in pharmaceutical nicotine funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).In receiving funds from the pharmaceutical nicotine industry* the three non-profits have proven themselves to be a tool of Nicoderm, Nicoderm CQ, Nicotrol, and Chantix alternative nicotine marketing interests. As such they will exaggerate and lie about secondhand smoke effects in order to get tobacco nicotine products banned via smoking bans. The payoff of course is nearly $1 billion annually in alternative nicotine product sales......(once Wal Mart sales are estimated).
Allowing any testimony or data by any of these three organizations regarding smoking bans would therefore be a seriously irresponsible move on the part of any government agency.
*RWJF is part of the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical empire......which now includes Pfizer.
J & J manufactures, sells, and profits from all of the above smoking cessation products.
Meanwhile air quality testing proves secondhand smoke concentrations are far, far safer than OSHA indoor air quality regulations.
